Address: The Franklyn D. Resort - PO Box 201 - Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. - Located approximately 1 1/4 hours (by ground) from Montego Bay Airport (Sangster International Airport) on Jamaica's north coast. Round trip transfers to and from the airport are included. Also included: all meals, beverages, cocktails, activities, hotel taxes, and gratuities. The FDR is Jamaica's first all-suite, all-inclusive family resort.

ROOM CATEGORIES
All rooms include: Air conditioning, king size bed, full bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, full kitchens, satellite TV, telephone, living and dining room with day-bed, additional rollaway bed and crib available at no additional cost.
1-bedroom suite: Maximum occupancy is 2 adults, 3 children under 16 years. 540 Square feet.
2-bedroom suite: The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Maximum occupancy is 4 adults and 3 children under 16 years old or 3 adults and 4 children under 16 years. 1080 Square Ft.
3-bedroom suite: The second bedroom has a king bed & the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Maximum occupancy is 6 adults and 3 children or 5 adults and 4 children.

One
child under 16 stays free with one paying adult.
DINING
There are two delicious Oceanside restaurants, a kid's only restaurant, & a beach grill to choose from. Plus a pool & piano bar for cocktails.
The Verandah Restaurant (International) - A family atmosphere on the boardwalk over the ocean. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner are la carte. Breakfast is available from 7:30am until 10:30am while lunch goes from 12:30pm - 2:30pm. The la carte dinner is served 4 nights per week, sumptuous buffets on the other nights. FDR is famous for their Saturday-night Jamaican buffet.
The Pier Restaurant (Italian) - A romantic atmosphere by the ocean. The service is a la carte and is open from 6:30pm. until 9:30pm. Closed Wednesday & Saturday.
Teetos (kids meals only) - The service is a well balanced meal buffet style on low tables from 5:30pm to 7:00pm daily. After dinner there is ping pong, air hockey, foosball & pool to keep the children entertained. A Kiddies Disco opens at 7:30pm.
Beach Grill (all day snacks) - Serves popular Jamaican food plus traditional American food from 12:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
Pool & Piano Bar (premium brand liquor) - Serves all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks & cigarettes - Pool bar opens from 10:00a.m. to Midnight - Piano Bar opens from 10:00p.m. - Until.

When you are not relaxing on the beach or swimming in our pool, we keep you busy with a array of land and water sports. From children to adults, you'll have fun learning many of our sports like windsurfing snorkeling, sailing, kayaking and tennis.
We also sport a fully-equipped gym so you have the chance to stay in shape. Use of machines, weights and aerobic classes are all part of the package. We also have a number of other sports facilities.
The game room is equipped with pool tables, arcade games and table tennis. Tennis on FDR's court can be played night or day as the court is lit for your convenience. Then there is beach/pool volleyball, basketball, soccer, football and cycling. We have just about any sport to suit every member of the family.

The Teen
Scuba Diving Adventure program is one of the most
popular items on our teens program. In addition, our trained
Teen Teens and preteens also enjoy our sports facilities: basketball, tennis, pool/beach volleyball, snorkeling and lest we forget the tech-minded teen, there are video games and our cyber cafe. There are also reggae dance classes, board games, organized "rap sessions"...and more!

Our friendly staff will conduct Internet classes which are available on request and these are complimentary. Come on up and surf the net or play computer games. FDR also offers suitable conference or meeting room facilities if you should need to mix business with fun. Fax and photocopying services are also available for a small fee. |

at FDR is nightly and lively. Our resident band will keep you

FDR, adults can relax, unwind and truly rejuvenate themselves. But
don't think for a minute you'll be bored. You may choose to have
an afternoon cocktail, to meet new friends and mingle by the Pool
Bar while watching the sunset on our teak boardwalk. After, join
your new friends in our cool, quiet Piano Bar by the
ocean...for adults only. 
We
make dining an enchanting part of your FDR experience. Guests
have a choice of dining at the Beach Grill, The Verandah Restaurant
or the The Pier Italian Restaurant on the ocean which is
exclusively for adults and serves Italian cuisine. All meals here are
a pleasure for the palate as the resort's chef offers guests great
Italian fare.

excursions to exciting places such as the world-famous Dunn's River
Falls or Cranbrook Flower Farm. There are also various optional
tours available to very unique and thrilling attractions like Dolphin
Cove in Ocho Rios, where you have the opportunity to have an
up-close encounter with dolphins in their natural habitat, and other
great expeditions.
Teenagers have their own approach to life. They are
fun-loving and adventurous. They will enjoy learning many of our
sports, like windsurfing, snorkeling and tennis.
Coordinators organize many activities specially designed for
this age group. 
At
Franklyn D. Resort, we bend over backwards to ensure that each and every
family member has a carefree and memorable experience. Specific programs
are carefully designed to include activities that infants, children and
teens love. Vacation Nannies are always there to accompany your children
as they make their way through all the programs, activities and games we
have in store for them.
The
pool area features a a separate shallow wading pool for toddlers and small children as
well as a separate "slide" pool which is quite a hit
with the youngsters. Vacation Nannies will keep a close watch on
the little ones so the
parents can also relax while the kids splash and safely have fun. Kids
can also enjoy sports facilities offered by FDR. There are soccer
lessons and snorkeling lessons, glass-bottom boat rides and kayaks,
tennis and basketball and bicycle rides. They certainly won't forget
this vacation any time soon.
The
Kiddie's Centre is the hub of activity for children of
different ages and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
dinner,
join us at FDR's cozy, ocean-view Piano Bar which offers a
quiet respite from the day's activities. Recline with your choice of
top- shelf liquor or sing along to your favorites with live
piano music played by Winston, our resident pianist . The Piano
Bar is for adults only and strikes a more intimate chord, staying
open until the last guest says goodnight. After, join us at
